Jæja, tíminn hefur liðið ótrúlega fljótt hérna í Frankfurt og eftir aðeins tvær og hálfa viku klára ég aðra önnina mína í M.Sc Urban Agglomerations og nokkrum dögum síðar legg ég af stað í nokkuð langt ferðalag, hinum megin á hnöttinn, eða nánar tiltekið til Brisbane, Ástralíu. Þar hyggst ég taka eina skiptinámsönn, sem er skyldu partur af prógraminu. Við gátum valið um nokkra áfangastaði; Svíþjóð, Mexíkó, Chile, Brasilíu og Ástralíu. Ég var á tímabili mjög spennt fyrir bæði Brasilíu og Ástralíu en þar sem mig hefur alltaf langað að kíkja ‘down under’ þá endaði Ástralía á að verða fyrir valinu. Við erum 12 í bekknum mínum, þar af erum við tvær á leiðinni til Ástralíu (ekki á sama stað samt), einn fer til Brasilíu og restin ætlar að skella sér til Malmö í Svíþjóð.

Eins og áður sagði þá er farið að styttast verulega í þetta og datt mér því í hug að opna síðu og skrifa um dvölina í Ástralíu, með myndum og tilheyrandi. Ég hef ekki verið mjög dugleg í Þýskalands dvölinni að setja inn fréttir/myndir, en fyrst maður er á leiðinni aleinn langt-í-burt-istann þá eru kannski einhverjir sem vilja fylgjast með manni og eftirá gæti þetta orðið ágætis minningar-dagbók fyrir sjálfa mig :) Þar að auki eru nú, ótrúlegt en satt, ekki allir sem maður þekkir á fésbókinni (mamma og svona)…

Ég mun reyna að skrifa færslurnar bæði á íslensku og ensku, svo úglensku vinir manns geti nú líka fylgst með:)

Well, time has gone by extremely fast here in Frankfurt and in only two and a half weeks the second semester of M.Sc Urban Agglomerations will be over and a few days later I will take on my journey to the other side of the globe, to Brisbane, Australia, where I will take an exchange semester, mandatory in this masters program. We could choose from a few destinations; Sweden, Mexico, Chile, Brazil and Australia. I was at a time torn between Brazil and Australia, but since I have always wanted to go ‘down under’, Australia became my choice. All together, we are 12 in my class here at Frankfurt, thereof we are two on our way to Australia (not to the same place though), one is heading to Brazil and the rest will do their exchange in Malmö, Sweden.

Well yes, as said before, it is really a short time until I travel to Australia and therefor I thought a blog for my Australia stay would be a good idea. I haven’t been so efficient in my stay here in Frankfurt to post updates or pictures, but since I am traveling alone to the other side of the globe I thought there might be someone wanting to follow what I am up to and afterward this can be a good memory-diary for myself :) Also, believe it or not, not everyone I know is on Facebook (including my mom)….

I will try to ‘report’ both in Icelandic and English :)
